God's Lifestyle For You
There are degrees of sociability. This word means the range or degrees of being social. Where are you on this range of being social? Are you a loner - comfortable being by yourself? Are you always one in a crowd and always needing the group?
People are often judged on their sociability. If you prefer to be separate from others, many might call you a snob, while if you choose to be in the crowd, they might call you - an attention-getter - the one looking for attention. Of course, both of these judgments could be completely incorrect.
God has gifted us with personalities he wants us to use and display. God may want us to be able to work alone, or he may want us to feel comfortable in a crowd. God wants us to be comfortable wherever he has made us be. It is wrong for anyone to feel awkward in either place if we belong to another group. If we feel at ease in a crowd, we should not envy those comfortable alone. If we think best when we are alone or only with one or two others, we should not desire to be in a crowd and envied by them.
We are not living as God has made us when we do this. Therefore, we should not want to live in ways other than how He created us. We are His creation and made for His purpose. Consequently, we will not fulfill His purpose when we desire to live in ways we were not created for.
Remember, He is the potter; we are but clay in His hands.
