Romans 8:15

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him, we cry, "Abba, Father."

God gives us His Holy Spirit when someone baptizes us and our sins are forgiven. Our adoption has taken place, and we cry, "Abba, Father."

It is at our baptism that God opens the gate to the narrow road so we can walk on the narrow road toward Eternal Life.
