Home Group: What Is That? By Larry Whittington 12/06/07 Home Group: What Is That? Home group, group home Do they sound the same? Do they mean the same? I don’t know but I am curious.
Church home, home church. These also may sound the same. Again, would they mean the same? I use these both but differently. MA Home Group – Marijuana Addicts Home Group The meeting place for interested people. A group with similar interests. AA Home Group - Alcoholic Anonymous Home Group- The meeting place for interested people A group with similar interests. A home group seems to be a place where a person wants to be while a group home is a place where a person has to be. A person may be forced to reside in a group home even if it is not where he would rather be. Taking the meaning as presented in a home group, a person can feel at home. A person can act as if he is at home, talk as if he is home and feel as comfortable as if he is home. Those in the same home group would include another person in that group openly. Feelings could be shared openly. Fears could be expressed frankly. Hopes and dreams could be shared and joyfully encouraged. So, according to this, I would rather be a part of a home group than a group home.
