It Is Worth Starting Today

If it is worth doing, it is worth starting today.

The thought in this title is for me.

I am considering doing some work making jewelry again.

Since it is a thought, I must examine the basis of the idea.

Where does this thought come from?

Is it a product of greed? Is it a product of pride? Is it a Holy Spirit-motivated thought?

I must determine the source of the thought.

If the thought of starting to do some jewelry work is because of greed or pride for me, the idea is of Satan. It is not worth doing.

If the thought of starting to make jewelry is of the Holy Spirit, it is worth doing. That is when it is worth starting today.

I may not have everything I need, but if I have enough to start, it is worth starting today.

Just because I do not have one special tool to do one particular task does not mean I can't start today.

If I have some designs already in mind or some old ones that I could work on, it is worth starting today.

Even though I have yet to develop some new designs, I can still work on some simple pieces today.

When I have decided that the Holy Spirit is urging me, it is time to put that thought into action.

Is it, therefore, time to start?

Is it time for you to start a project that has been on your mind lately?

Maybe it is God letting you know that it is something you should be doing.

I never started back to making jewelry pieces because I felt I wouldn’t be trusting God for the daily funds I might need. Satan was tempting me so I wouldn’t be trusting God.

Carol, my wife of 62 years, passed away last November 2. Since then, I have been struggling with knowing what purpose God may have in mind for me. What would God want me to be involved in?

I feel there is some writing God would want me to be involved in, so I will continue with that. I want to keep posting some of my older written material as well as some of the new material I will write.

As of now, I want to be letting my light shine for Jesus by being friendly and taking the time to talk to people I have a chance to meet. I feel these chance meetings are planned by God for a purpose. I need to take advantage of these "chance meetings."

I also want what I publish on my dot com to be helpful for those who read them. (Either entertaining, encouraging, or in its teaching.)

I will repost this as a summary of what I have added.

We need always to be aware of the leading of the Holy Spirit.

That is the purpose of God giving it to people when God forgives their sins.

When someone baptizes a person for the forgiveness of their sin, God gives them His Holy Spirit. See Acts Chapter Two.
