Life and Living
Part Ten
I only got some things done today.
These were things I had planned to do and wanted to get done.
Does this lack of getting ahead of things mean I should check myself to see if I am getting lazy, lethargic, or just old.
Not necessarily. It may say, “I thought I was better than I am.”
It might also mean I was interrupted by something else. Maybe God's other business shouldered its way into my day.
When we don't see interruptions as God's business that needs to be taken care of, we can become depressed if we feel incapable of performing efficiently or finishing a certain quantity of planned projects.
I could be lazy, lethargic, or even old, but I don't have control over everything that might happen in a day.
When caring for God's business, I am successful and not lazy.
