Life and Living, Part Eleven.
Situations arise in families.
Others may prevent us from helping due to circumstances.
What feelings do we have when another member "steps up to the plate," so to speak, and does what we couldn't?
Guilty? Thankful? Relieved?
These situations are real Life and actual living episodes of fear, panic, relief, peace, and gratitude.
How do we take care of these feelings, these pressures?
We take care of the fear and panic with prayer.
Remember, God has not left the scene.
Things happen to bad people. Things happen to good people.
Things happen to us.
We like to say God is in charge of things but does not control what people do.
God makes us free-willed, so we can choose to do what we think is best.
But some situations prevent us from deciding what we want to do, like choosing to fulfill our responsibility.
I am not for the "gushy-gushy" words intended as a “Thank You.”
A plain "thank you" serves the purpose for me.
Too many "gushy-gushy" words can wash away any humility.
