The Narrow Road Or The Wide Road. It Is Your Choice.

Life and Living Part Twenty-Eight

I know I am not to judge, and you will tell me that I am judging, but I might reply that I am simply making an observation.

Jesus was accurate in his teachings. What he said is true, and what he says will happen, will happen, so I trust the teachings of Jesus.

Each of the world's religions teaches doing it their way to gain a better place or Life in the next Life. Jesus says the same thing: John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.“

I believe Jesus is God because of his resurrection. In the beginning, he (in whatever form he was in) created the world and made Adam and Eve. He was sent by our heavenly father to earth to live, die, be resurrected, and ascend back into heaven.

I believe Jesus’ way is the correct and only way because of what he taught. I can see his teachings being true all around me.

Matthew 7:13-14 Has this to say about the world. 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate, and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to Life, and only a few find it.

As I view the world today, very few people are entering the way of Life through the narrow gate and living on the narrow road that Jesus teaches about. On the other hand, many are entering the wide gate and living on the broad road that leads to destruction.

The other parable I would refer to is the parable of the Sower. The seed on the path is eaten by the birds or devoured by the evil one. The seed that lands among the rocks and the thistles survives only a short time before they give up and quits. Only the seed growing in the good soil produces fruit. Not very many people in the world are following the way, the narrow path, of Jesus.

Paul warns each person to be careful and work out their own salvation with fear and trembling. We have to find out what Jesus wants us to do and follow that way to completion.

This is Life and Living.
