Part Thirty

Finally, brothers and sisters and friends and also the not friends yet, think on whatever is true….

This is hard to do when we have been deceived and we are not aware of what the truth is. We have believed a lie, or at least part of what we believe on that subject is a lie. It all does not have to be a lie. Just a little bit of it can be the lie that throws off the proper conclusion to follow and act upon. The action, then, maybe an improper action or an action without proper thought.

I will hit it straight on – no pussyfooting around. Deceived people do not think that God removes or forgives their sins when they are baptized even though that is what the Bible tells us He does. (See Acts 2:38). God chose this memorable activity as the point at which a believer in Jesus has their sins forgiven when they have repented, also as Peter commanded them to do.

When a person believes a lie, he will tell a lie and teach a lie. You can see how fast this lie then can multiply and travel.
