Life and Living
Part Forty-Five
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
11 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 12 We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The phrases are "Your every desire for goodness" and "your every deed prompted by faith."
Do our "desires" line up with God's desires? When they do, God helps them be accomplished because that is what he wants to be accomplished.
When our desire to do a good deed is motivated by faith, God will bring it to fruition. However, if we want to do a good deed, but it is out of pride or selfishness that promotes it, God does not promise his help in getting it done.
Our attitudes and desires signal God to either work with us or work against us

How about doing this?
Yes ... motives matter and God sees the heart ... nothing is hidden. Thanks!
