Life and Living
Part Four
Where there is Life, there will be living. Living might be thought of as taking what is given to us and doing something with it. When we think of living that way, we make it our responsibility to make those choices that won't get us. (Where we want to avoid getting bit.)
The only way a baby has or knows about it is to cry when its body needs attention. If the body is hungry – cry. Suppose it needs a diaper change – cry. If the body is sick – cry for attention.
Yelling will usually get the attention required. But sometimes at a cost.
We won't mention the possibility of neglectful parents who ignore a baby's cry or even that of a child. Neglectful parents hurt the Lives of the little ones they have brought into this world. A foster home or an orphanage might bring more hope for a better life.
After crying, words come and are most helpful. We can still make some choices on our own, but it is a time for learning.
Caring parents can be so beneficial in making this youthful time a more pleasant time of growing up. How enjoyable and entertaining can it be to sit around and ask your little one – where is your nose? Where are your ears? Where are your toes? We can learn so much about our bodies from games our parents had us play when we were little.
How about counting to five? What can help you count to five? Yes, we learn to rely on our fingers.
And we are then learning to put together thoughts in a sentence. That takes some time for parents to understand what we are saying, but patient parents help us to know that words and sentence structure are essential to communicating with others. How will they help us if they can't understand us, or how will we be able to help them if we can't share with them?
As you can see, growing up takes a lot of Living.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. In my life experience, learning has definitely led to better living. And when I see people fail to learn, their life seems so much more difficult and challenging as a result. Thanks again!
