My Cat Has Learned Something New

My cat is smart.
He is a smarty cat.
He knows WHEN IT IS 7:00
 I should get up.
He jumps onto my bed 
Before the alarm even rings.
He nuzzles my nose to wake me up
And waits for a pet or two.
After a pet or two
Down he jumps
To the floor with a thump.
(I know now, he is kind of plump
It’s my fault. I feed him TO MUCH.)
He heads straight for the door
Knowing, I am right behind HIM. SLOWLY
Yes, I am. He knows me already.
He’s waiting for me to open the door.
Some say he is a polite cat.
But I call him “my smarty cat.”
