Timeliness for blogs (and lifetime choices.)
I don’t know if I believe it, but I have to believe it because it happened.
A customer emailed me asking if I was still open since I had not written a blog for a long time.
I was surprised but happy they were reading my blog even if I hadn’t kept up with my writing.
Besides knowing that people read my blog, it tells me they expect it to be “kept up to date.
”Being up-to-date shows the company or activity is still “OPEN FOR BUSINESS.”
Being up to date may not be critical if it is “just a blog,” but if the blog shows the activeness of an organization, it is vital.
I just said this, but repeating essential thoughts and ideas doesn’t hurt.
We choose the activities we take part in day by day, actually, moment by moment.
Our choices determine what we accomplish. What we accomplish may decide if we succeed in some activity.
Whether we succeed in some activity may depend on our choices. If it does, we can’t blame anyone except ourselves.
The question that should come to our mind is:
“What choices caused me to fail?” (If I don’t want to fail again.)
I can proceed when I examine this question and find a proper and truthful answer to what choices caused me to fail.
Only by moving after the question has been studied and evaluated can there be hope for success in the next round of endeavors.
This thought should be a built-in step as a person looks to improve hopefulness for success in the next round.
God expects us to grow to be more Christlike. To be successful in this day-by-day task, we must examine our choices.
Did I make the right choices? The Holy Spirit is given to each believer as he/she is baptized for the forgiveness of their sin. (Acts 2:38) The Holy Spirit is there to guide us, but we are still obligated to make the right choices.
If I know it is right to be honest but choose to be dishonest, I will not grow as God wants me to.
I can’t blame it on God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit because I decided to be dishonest.
The Holy Spirit did not force me to be dishonest. So, from this short illustration, it is clear I must be aware of my choices because they determine my success.

It is now December 3, 2023. Carol, my wife, passed away last month. She finished her course and finished the purposes God planted within her. And I will say she did them well.
I am still here, so I am re-examining myself to ensure I am working toward finishing the course of life and the purposes God has assigned to me. I am asking myself what God wants me to do with the rest of my life.
Have I been working on the course of life God had planned for me? Am I on the right course, or should I be working in a different direction? My choices will make a difference and determine what God thinks of my life.
