Life and Living
Part Sixteen
I have a problem that some of you can help me with.
While doing yard work or hobby work, I must focus on doing one thing at a time.
For example, I notice something else to do when I walk from here to there.
It can be completely unrelated to what I had intended to do, but I stopped and began to take care of that smaller project.
I might need to do it, but not at that time.
With this problem, I might not accomplish what I wanted to finish.
I get sidetracked in these small projects that also need to be done, but there are other things that I had thought of doing.
I like all the little things I get done, but they were not what I had thought of doing that day.
As I am writing this and getting it finally "spoken" (well documented), I wonder if God is helping me see what other things I should have been doing but hadn’t put in my "plans for the day."
I don’t want to blame God for being sidetracked, but I wonder if he is still leading me, so I am getting other projects done.
As I said, I don't want to blame God for my curious manners.
(If he leads me, I thank him for helping me do some of these other little things.)
Well, this is part of my Life and Living.
I wasn't planning on writing about it. It just came to my mind as I sat down to write.

This is a P.S.
You can see the original date of this article. My wife, Carol, passed away on November 2, 2023, and I noticed that I still have that tendency as I work in the house. I do have a more challenging time keeping it picked up and cleaned up since tracking in the leaves happens each time I walk in and out with the leaves staying wet.
Thank you, and God bless you for any comment or encouragement.
Sometimes we aren't sure whether God is leading or we're being distracted from His leading. But if we ask for His guidance, and are patient, I'm confidant that He will make His will known to us.
